Holiday Post-its

Here is a pic of my little sleeping beauty at this very moment. She hasn't worn any regular clothes since opening all of her dress-up costumes for Christmas. The holiday was a magical and energized one with a two-year old in the house! Now we're enjoying a peaceful afternoon of rest.

I sewed a bohemian style bag for my sister on Christmas Eve with a unique printed soft-burlap-looking fabric and reversible lining. Wish I'd taken a pic now! Sorry I can't share. Take a look at the vintage fabric page for another Christmas gift I made.

Bought myself a new scanner over the holiday, so I'm going to be posting my new line of greeting cards soon. Stay tuned!

Happy Winter

Tis morning; and the sun, with ruddy orb
Ascending, fires th' horizon: while the clouds,
That crowd away before the driving wind,
More ardent as the disk emerges more,
Resemble most some city in a blaze,
Seen through the leafless wood. His slanting ray
Slides ineffectual down the snowy vale,
And, tinging all with his own rosy hue,
From ev'ry herb and ev'ry spiry blade
Stretches a length of shadow o'er the field.

These glittering, frozen mornings I've been waking up to are so magical! They melt away so quickly some days, though, and my pictures don't do them justice!
