Summer has arrived, and we're reveling in the glorious swelter and buzz of it. I hosted a lovely Midsummer's Eve party to kick it all off, and last week took us to the lake for a few days of pure laziness: hours upon hours of sandcastle building and squashing, fireworks, and a chance to catch up on more
reading than I've done in years!
Thanks to my dear niece, Aimie, who has been babysitting for me a few hours every week, I've been able to indulge in some uninterrupted (and guilt-free) creative time. Here's the purse I finished today. My mom found the fantastic fabric in Nashville. I've been wrestling with the thing for weeks. That's what you get when you don't use a pattern. It's enormous. I'll probably carry it around for a while and put it on my Etsy sight for sale later.
