Another one of the projects in Tasha Tudor's Old Fashioned Gifts book is an advent calendar. If you are familiar with Tasha's story, you'll know that she made many of these for her family over the years featuring little woodland creatures and her beloved Corgi dogs. I hope you'll follow along on my Facebook page to see daily surprises behind each of the doors. The fun begins on December 6, the traditional beginning of Advent, and continues through Christmas Eve.
Let's play a game! When you see the letter to Santa behind one of the doors on my Facebook page, go to my Etsy shop to find a private listing for "Nicholas," offered at a ridiculously low price, and be the first to snatch it up for yourself.
P.S. The inspiration for the unique building in this painting came from a real live place in Shagford Village, Devon, England. Thank you to the amazing Midwest to Midlands blog for sharing the view!
