Come August, my creative juices get poured into bento box lunches. We capped off last May's lunches with this little ditty. Sadly, less than half was eaten.
We got back into the swing of things with this.
We use a Systema box and cute little sylicone cups, which I got for a steal on Pick Your Plum. Recognize the glitter mints? Making a salami rose is a snap: cut about 5 circles in half and coil one piece around the other with round edges up. Add some cheese leaves, and you're done! I've found that cutting up fruits, bread, cheeses and the like is easy when you use a little pumpkin carving knife like these

This box is super tiny, so I'll have to put her surprise sweet treat in a different container, but it packs up so neatly with a spot for a fork under the lid. Strap it all together with one of the zillion silly bandz you have laying around the house (a tip from Myra) and pop in a cupcake pick salvaged from a class birthday party! Voila!
