Whirlwind
October 18, 2009
I am grateful this morning, after a day yesterday paved with many speed bumps and pot holes. I am blessed to have a husband who makes homemade perfume with my little girl when I'm out for the day, takes her to the movies, and dines on Chic Fil A. I am blessed by the many kind words my customers share with me when they visit my booth, I am blessed by the fellowship of other creative souls, and I was tremendously blessed by a very special wedding in the middle of my whirlwind day yesterday. My friend Rachel married Peter, her "pearl of greatest treasure", in a spirit-filled ceremony that brought the roof down with praise and worship. It was an amazing place of rest and renewal in the middle of a very hectic day for me. Praise the Lord!
I'm preparing for my return to the French Market at Meadowbrook farm this morning, stocking my purse with cold medicine, bundling up in a few layers, and getting set to put the booth all back together again. The junk evolution team sold like gangbusters yesterday as a result of their MAD design skills and great prices on a barn stuffed to the gills with gorgeous vintage finds. It is like flipping through the pages of Country Living as soon as you step through those red dutch doors. You've got to get out there today from 12 to 5 if you know what's good for your country-lovin' soul!
